Kerron Stewart.
Kerron Stewart is a three-time Olympic medalist and six-time World Championship medalist who brings international racing experience and a proven coaching record to SPIRE. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, she now focuses on coaching and mentoring the next generation of student-athletes.
Her coaching achievements include developing three national junior record holders. Athletes she has coached have earned:
Eight indoor national championships and one outdoor national championship
28 indoor All-American honors and two outdoor All-American honors
Two Division III All-American honors
She has also coached 13 CARIFTA Games medalists.
Representing Jamaica, Stewart won silver in the 100 meters and bronze in the 200 meters at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, followed by silver in the 4×100-meter relay at the 2012 London Olympics. Her World Championship record includes three gold medals and three silver medals.
At Auburn University, Stewart earned seven All-American honors and was named the 2007 SEC Runner of the Year and USTFCCCA National Runner of the Year. Today, she draws on her collegiate and international experience to help SPIRE student-athletes develop as competitors and young people.
