Kevin Boyle

Kevin Boyle is widely recognized as the premier high school basketball coach in the United States and was recently named as one of the top five greatest high school coaches of all time by MaxPreps. For over three decades, Coach Boyle has coached elite high school programs and has amassed over 850 career wins, won eight national championships (2013, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022), five state championships (1998, 2003, 2006, 2007, and 2009), and has been named National High School Coach of the Year eight times - including three times by the prestigious Naismith Hall of Fame.

Coach Boyle has also developed over 20 NBA draft picks, 150 Division I NCAA players, and dozens of international professional players. He is considered by many college coaches as one of the best teachers and strategists of the game on and off the court.

St. Patrick High School, Elizabeth, New Jersey (1989 to 2011). Over 23 seasons Boyle turned a regional program into the nation's top talent pipeline: a 529-96 record, a 75 percent Division I placement rate and the program's first No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick in Kyrie Irving (2011), alongside Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Al Harrington and Samuel Dalembert.

Montverde Academy (2011 to 2025). Boyle's Montverde teams won eight national championships and went undefeated twice (25-0 in 2020 and 33-0 in 2024), earning USA Today's "Team of the Decade". Three more No. 1 picks followed in Ben Simmons (2016), Cade Cunningham (2021) and Cooper Flagg (2025), and the 2021 and 2025 NBA Drafts each took four or more Montverde alumni.

SPIRE Academy (2025 to present). At SPIRE, Boyle's system has five hardwood courts including the original Cleveland Cavaliers court, a 25,000 sq. ft. performance center, national exposure and academic flexibility built for elite athletes. His goal, in his own words, is not just to win championships but to build an elite program that turns student-athletes into successful collegiate and professional players.
