The new relationship also marks SPIRE’s continued commitment to extending their resources and facilities to the global athletic community.

TransAtlantic Basketball has over 16 years of experience operating in the American basketball scene and plays a major role in supporting and facilitating athletes throughout their time abroad. Their personalized guidance, dedicated team and extensive network of coaches work together to create a seamless experience for athletes who want to have US high school and college basketball opportunities. Led by founder and seasoned professional Maxime Lefèvre, TransAtlantic Basketball offers amazing knowledge and firsthand experience in successfully managing all of the complexities of the American basketball and education systems. Lefèvre himself is currently an Assistant Coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves, one of the few French coaches in the NBA.

In a recent interview, Lefèvre expressed admiration for SPIRE’s professionalism and dedication to student athlete wellbeing, stating, “From the application process all the way through our student athletes’ arrival and beyond, the communication and professionalism of SPIRE stands out. We know they’re in good hands, and it is reassuring for us and their parents. He went on to comment on SPIRE’s well rounded approach to developing high level student athletes, “More than just the sport of basketball, we want to make sure they have a high quality experience on and off the court…SPIRE has delivered in both areas.”

Hugo Segno, a recent student athlete from the TransAtlantic Basketball program now at SPIRE Academy, had this to say about his experience, “TransAtlantic Basketball allowed me to realize my dream of becoming a student athlete in the United States. SPIRE is the perfect place for a basketball enthusiast looking to grow and develop their game while living the American dream.”

Lefèvre closed the interview stating, “We are looking forward to continuing to build a strong relationship with SPIRE and helping our kids follow their dreams.” This collaborative effort not only promotes them as partners, but also encourages media coverage to attract more student athletes to both programs, showcasing the transformative impact of international partnerships in shaping the futures of student athletes from across the globe. SPIRE continues to invest in their international efforts to bring high level training and development to athletes looking to take their talents to the next level.
