SPIRE Academy alumna Saniyah Hall made an immediate impression in her first appearance for USC, scoring a team-high 23 points to help the No. 3 Trojans defeat California 78–76 in an exhibition matchup on October 25 at the Galen Center.
The freshman added six rebounds and a game-high five steals while shooting 9-for-13 from the field, including 2-for-3 from three-point range. Playing alongside JuJu Watkins and Jazzy Davidson, Hall led USC’s scoring effort in her unofficial collegiate debut.
Hall also delivered in the closing minutes. With the game tied at 71, she sank two free throws with 1:54 remaining to put the Trojans ahead. Earlier in the fourth quarter, she turned consecutive steals into transition baskets to help USC maintain its advantage.
A Lorain, Ohio native and SPIRE graduate, Hall entered college as ESPN’s No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2026. Her first outing in a USC uniform marks another milestone in a basketball journey that brought her from Northeast Ohio to one of the nation’s leading programs.
