JOSHUA MALAVE

Admissions Manager for Track & Field, Swimming, and Wrestling.

Josh Malave brings a strong background in collegiate athletics and student development to SPIRE Academy, where he serves as Admissions Manager. In this role, he oversees recruitment and enrollment for student-athletes in wrestling, track and field, and swimming, working closely with prospective families, coaches, and academic staff to guide students through the admissions process.

Prior to joining SPIRE Academy, Malave spent nine years coaching at the collegiate level, including six years at the University of Mount Union and three years at Case Western Reserve University. His coaching experience provides him with a deep understanding of the academic, athletic, and personal demands placed on student-athletes and allows him to effectively support families in finding the right overall fit.

Malave holds a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Findlay and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union. He is passionate about helping student-athletes identify opportunities that align with their goals and supporting them as they take the next step in their academic and athletic journeys.
