Hometown: Tamarac, Florida
Since 2009, Amanda Marcum has been dedicated to teaching Sciences in private school settings and a variety of subjects in local public schools. Her enthusiasm for learning and teaching science is deeply rooted in her life-long experiences in the Florida Keys and her explorations of the Everglades. After relocating to Ohio in 2012, Marcum has embraced the challenge of understanding the state’s diverse ecosystems, which starkly contrast with her native environment. She is eager to share her extensive knowledge of marine environments with students in this new setting. Throughout her tenure in a South Florida school, Marcum has worked with numerous international student athletes, enjoying the mutual exchange of knowledge and cultural learning experiences.

- Working towards her Masters Degree in Biochemical Engineering.
