Coach Slaton is in his third year at Spire, he has coached in the high school program each year at Spire. Prior to his time at Spire he spent one year Head Coaching a Post-Graduate team at the International Sports Academy, five of his players went on to play College basketball at multiple levels. In 2020, Coach Slaton head coached a U16 team with the Mid Ohio Pumas (now Midwest Basktball Club), from that roster he had 4 players commit to Division III upon graduation. In college he was a Student Manager for the Men’s Basketball Team at Wright State University, in his time there, the team went to the NCAA Tournament in 2018, the NIT in 2019, and qualified for the NIT prior to the cancellation of that years tournament due to COVID-19. Coach Slaton has also coached at numerous high level camps through the country through Hoop Group and All-Academic Basketball.
