With over a decade of experience in counseling and mental/behavioral health, Kimberly Smith is dedicated to guiding high school and college students through their academic and athletic journeys. As a former Division I collegiate track and field athlete, Kimberly brings a unique perspective to her role. Her impressive athletic background includes being an 800M Big Ten Champion, 800m First-Team All-Big Ten, 800m NCAA provisional qualifier, 4X400m relay Big Ten Indoor and Outdoor Champion, 4x400M NCAA Mideast Regional Qualifier, Distance Medley Big Ten Champion and a standout performer making the 800M Indoor Track & Field Top 10 list for Purdue University.
Kimberly’s passion for both sports and counseling drives her to support student athletes in balancing their academic and athletic commitments. “I’m excited to bring my passion for both high school and college counseling and sports into my role. I understand firsthand the responsibilities and challenges that student athletes’ face. My goal is to help the students manage the pressures of being a student first and an athlete second, while smoothly transitioning to college life.” In addition to her counseling role, Kimberly also serves as an AAU Track and Field Coach, further demonstrating her commitment to nurturing young talent.
