Title: Math & Science Teacher
This is Miss Wallace’s 11th year teaching English and 6th year teaching computer science. Before joining SPIRE Academy, she taught 9 years in Ohio’s public school system where she coached cross country, soccer, and track and field. McKenzie also teaches graduate courses on educational technology for Communicate Institute through Walsh University. As a student athlete, McKenzie was a Division 2 Ohio State Champion in girls basketball and the 4x400m relay during her high school career then continued her running career at The University of Hawaii. Working at SPIRE Academy is an opportunity to help other student athletes pursue their passions and work towards their collegiate and career goals. McKenzie is excited about providing students with innovative ways to work with a text as well as unique opportunities to explore and apply their knowledge.
