Title: Wrestling Head Coach
Mike Kulczycki has a name throughout the country when it comes to developing wrestling talent. Kulczycki has coached at the highest level the sport of wrestling has to offer – NCAA Division and Olympic level wrestlers. Prior to SPIRE Academy, Kulczycki ran his own club, The Wrestling Factory of Cleveland, and was also Assistant Coach at The University of Michigan. During his years at Michigan, Kulczycki helped crown numerous NCAA Champions including Ryan Bertin, Stephen Luke and Kellen Russell (who is currently assistant coach at Cornell). Helping lead these wrestlers to NCAA titles and All-American finishes is what Coach Mike was hired to do. Producing results not only on the mat but in the classroom.
Coach Mike helped produce some of the country’s finest high school wrestlers. Paddy Gallagher is a name that many will note as one of the most dominant wrestlers in the last five years in the nation, winning State Titles for the St. Edward Eagles, Ironman and a scholarship to compete for The Ohio State University Buckeye’s. Along with Paddy, Kulczycki has worked closely with U20 World Bronze Medalist Bryce Andonian, one of the most exciting wrestlers to watch in all of NCAA Wrestling, now competing for Virginia Tech.
