Turning Potential Into Performance with SPIRE’s Post Graduate Track & Field Program

07/15/2025

SPIRE Academy’s Post Graduate (PG) Track & Field program gives athletes a critical year of focused training, growth and exposure to bridge the gap between high school and college.

For many student athletes, the PG decision raises valid questions: Will it make a difference? Will I fall behind? What will I gain?

At SPIRE, the answer is clear. When structured intentionally, a PG year becomes a powerful advantage, physically, mentally and academically. It’s a chance to get stronger, smarter and more prepared before entering college.

Designed for athletes aiming to compete at the next level, the PG program combines elite coaching, advanced facilities and a daily schedule built around high-performance development. Athletes benefit from individualized coaching, recovery resources, strength and conditioning and academic support, all on one of the most advanced multi-sport campuses in the world.

Recent PG athletes like Nico Backman (Rutgers University) and Liam Miller (Wichita State University) used their year at SPIRE to sharpen skills, gain consistency and secure Division I offers.

“The PG year offers student athletes a unique opportunity to focus on their development without the immediate pressures of collegiate competition,” said Director of Track & Field Tim Mack. “It’s a chance to mature physically, mentally and emotionally while refining technique, building strength and gaining the consistency needed to compete at the next level. We’ve seen athletes use this time to not only improve their performance but also position themselves for greater collegiate opportunities and long-term success.”

Whether the goal is to improve marks, build a recruiting profile, or prepare for college-level training and academics, SPIRE’s PG program gives athletes the tools, time and structure to move forward with confidence.
