Four-year renewal expands arena’s presence across one of the country’s premier swim development programs
GENEVA AND HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio, July 29, 2026 – SPIRE Academy today announced a four-year renewal of its partnership with arena, the global competitive swimwear brand, extending a relationship that has outfitted SPIRE Swimming since 2021. The renewal keeps arena as the official swimwear partner of SPIRE Swimming through the 2029-30 season and expands the brand’s presence across the academy’s aquatics facility, camps, and competition calendar.
The renewed agreement grows arena’s annual investment in the program, adding new facility signage, arena-branded backstroke flags across SPIRE’s racing pool, swim caps for SPIRE’s summer swim camps, and annual marketing support for the program. SPIRE swimmers will continue to train and compete in arena, with the brand featured across the program’s meets, communications, and hosted events.
SPIRE’s aquatics facility is among the most advanced in the country, anchored by two Myrtha pools designed with input from USA Swimming, including a 10-lane, 50-meter racing pool. The venue hosts a full calendar of elite competition, including the Atlantic 10 and Big East championships, NCAA Division II championships, and Olympic Development meets, giving arena a presence in front of collegiate, national, and international competitors year-round.
“Renewing with arena was an easy decision,” said Thad Schultz, SPIRE’s Director of Aquatics. “Our swimmers race in the best equipment in the world, and arena has backed this program at every level, from our youngest campers to athletes training for the Olympic stage. This renewal deepens that commitment, and our swimmers will feel it every time they step on the blocks.”
Schultz brings more than 25 years of coaching experience across NCAA and national programs, including stops at Ohio State, Clemson, and Penn State, and has developed more than 20 Olympians and 18 NCAA All-Americans over his career.
“We’re incredibly excited to continue our partnership with SPIRE Academy. SPIRE has built a truly unique environment for athletes to train, develop and compete at the highest level, and that aligns closely with who we are at arena,” said Keith Strasburg, Vice President of Sales, US at arena. “We’re proud to continue supporting their athletes and coaches and look forward to what we can accomplish together.”
The renewal continues a period of momentum for SPIRE. In the past year, the academy announced a multi-year, full-campus apparel partnership with adidas, a five-year, $6 million partnership with Vensure Employer Solutions, and top-five national finishes in men’s and women’s basketball. arena joins a growing group of global brands deepening their commitment to what SPIRE is building.
