Chops Grille & Tap House to Reopen Under New Ownership, Same as SPIRE Academy

12/05/2023

Chops Grille & Tap House, an exciting new dining experience in the region, will be opening its doors to the community, including SPIRE national competition guests, regional athletes, Academy students, campers and local families. Based just off the I-90 exit on 534 at the entrance to SPIRE’s campus, the restaurant and sports bar will host a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere, offering unique dining and entertainment options.

Chops is owned by Ehrenfeld Companies (eCos), the same team that spearheads development of SPIRE’s master plan, its Academy, Camps & Events business along with the growing retail district in the area. The team recently opened the area’s first Starbucks with a Marriott TownePlace Suites due to open shortly, along with two additional hotels slated for the campus along with national brands under LOI for restaurant, gas and convenience.

With its extensive remodel, the restaurant will have modern décor, an updated lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen and a separate room for small group dining. For those who can’t wait for the big game, the 21+ bar area will feature fourteen TV screens, broadcasting popular sports events daily. The bar lounge is unlike any other venue in the area, a cozy retreat to drink and dine with friends and loved ones.

The Chops sports bar will host the premier Ohio sportsbook operator, Prime Sports. Prime Sports is already known as the preferred brand for high rollers and professional betters. Bar patrons will be able to utilize their personal smartphones to get into the action with their favorite pro and college sports games. Innovative interactive betting kiosks will be arriving soon, and in-person teller betting will be available for special sporting events.

The revamped menu boasts a delicious fusion of flavors and fresh ingredients. Alongside classic bar favorites like wings and hamburgers, options include sports-themed, meat-centric dishes, local walleye specialties and steaks. An impressive selection of local wines, beers and signature cocktails will also be available.

The restaurant’s general manager, Stephanie Valentine, expressed her excitement and eagerness to serve the local community, saying, “We are all thrilled about the opening of Chops Grille & Tap House. As a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar, we’re dedicated to providing the Geneva community with a unique dining and entertainment experience that can’t be found elsewhere. Our modern décor, lounge area, and partnership with Prime Sports will make us the ultimate destination for both food and sports enthusiasts alike. We’re all looking forward to serving delicious, locally inspired dishes, hosting special events, and creating lasting memories for our guests.”

The restaurant will open seven days a week, so whenever hunger strikes, hotel guests, locals or SPIRE’s more than one million annual guests, will have an ideal destination for a comfortable and energized atmosphere with mouth-watering food. Additionally, Chops will be a fantastic spot to host birthday parties, corporate lunches and milestone celebrations, with plans to implement specials and online ordering in the future.

A soft launch period begins early December. Grand opening week details will be forthcoming. For updates and exclusive offers, sign up for the Chops Grille & Tap House mailing list and follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@chopsohio).
