Quincy Aronovitz Commits to SPIRE Post Grad Team

08/04/2020

SPIRE Institute and Academy (IA) has announced that Chicago shooting guard Quincy Aronovitz (“Q”) will play for its Post Grad basketball program during the 2020–21 season. Q led Chicago’s Wolcott College Prep to Three Lakeshore Athletic Conference championships. He was their team captain for all four years and was first team all conference as a senior.

Quincy made it to the Illinois State 3 point finals in his sophomore and senior year.

During his high school career, Q led the Wolves to Conference championships three years in a row and led the team in minutes, assists, points and shooting percentage. He played his club ball for the Chicago Grinders which has become a nationally recognized program.

“I think Quincy’s best basketball is ahead of him as he continues to get stronger and quicker and adjusts to the post grad competition he will be competing against,” said SPIRE PG Head Basketball Coach Gravelle Craig.

“I chose SPIRE because of the commitment to excellence and it’s reputation for developing successful basketball players,” said Aronovitz. “I believe in Coach Craig’s coaching philosophy and his ability to build confidence in players. The facilities are world class and the support will give me the best chance to improve my game and get me to the next level.”

We’re excited to welcome such a great fit to the team, and can’t wait to see Aronovitz’ performance on the court!
