SPIRE Academy Launches “SPIRE Cares” to Deepen Local Impact

08/05/2025

At SPIRE Academy, community engagement isn’t just a talking point, it’s a core value. We don’t just work in Ashtabula County, we live here, grow here and believe in giving back to the community that supports us.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce the SPIRE Cares Committee, a new initiative led by SPIRE’s Director of Outreach, Allison Hotz, a proud Ashtabula County native. The committee’s mission is simple but powerful: identify meaningful ways to serve, support and uplift the people and organizations around us.

To kick off the committee’s work, SPIRE is making its first official donation of 2025 to Adam’s Angels, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in the region, “one blessing at a time. On August 2, Adam’s Angels hosted one of the largest fundraising events in Ashtabula County history, generating vital support for youth-centered programs that provide essential supplies, mentorship, and care.

SPIRE was honored to support the event with several in-demand items up for auction, donated by our own coaches and faculty. These included:

  • Free swim lessons from our SPIRE Fit lifeguard team.
  • A complimentary entry to any SPIRE Summer Camp.
  • A brand-new pair of high-performance soccer cleats for a rising youth athlete.

Our goal is to provide local youth with opportunities they might not otherwise have access to, and this is just the beginning.

“We’re committed to showing up for our community in ways that truly make a difference,” said Hotz. “SPIRE Cares is about being an active, engaged partner in building a stronger future for Ashtabula County.”If you or your organization are interested in collaborating with the SPIRE Cares Committee, please reach out to [email protected]. Let’s make an impact, together.
