SPIRE Academy Proudly Announces Its Athlete of the Year Award Winners

The best of the best. That’s what we’re here to celebrate today. SPIRE Academy is proud to announce its Class of 2025 Student Athlete of the Year Awards across six categories:

Athlete of the Year 

A SPIRE Academy Athlete of the Year recipient must:

• Demonstrate consistent, outstanding athletic performance throughout the season/year


• Demonstrate leadership on and off the field


• Demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship and integrity


• Contribute significantly to team success


• Receive recognition at local, regional or national levels

Rookie of the Year

A SPIRE Academy Rookie of the Year recipient must:

• Be a first-year athlete in their sport or at a new grade level

• Make an immediate and meaningful impact on a team or a competition


• Show maturity and composure beyond their level of experience

• Perform consistently and develop throughout the season


• Have a positive influence on team dynamics

Breakthrough Athlete of the Year

A SPIRE Academy Breakthrough Athlete of the Year recipient must:

• Show a marked improvement/marked increase in performance

• Emerge as a key contributor in his or her sport

• Overcome barriers or challenges to achieve a higher level


• Gain recognition or make headlines via a breakout moment


• Demonstrate potential for continued excellence
