SPIRE FC saw its largest turnout yet at a free youth soccer camp held July 28–29, with more than 170 registered players. Hosted at SPIRE Academy’s elite training complex, the event reinforced SPIRE’s commitment to community access, early-stage development, and growing the game across Northeast Ohio.
Designed for youth players born between 2012 and 2018, the two-evening clinic featured high-touch instruction from SPIRE’s professional coaching staff, combining technical skill development with interactive games that emphasized teamwork, communication, and confidence.
“This camp is all about community,” said Sean Lane, SPIRE FC Director. “We wanted to remove the financial barrier and give every young player a chance to fall in love with the game in a fun, energetic environment.”
Many families were visiting SPIRE’s campus for the first time, offering a firsthand look at the Academy’s world-class indoor and outdoor fields, player development model, and commitment to character-driven coaching. Feedback from parents highlighted the energy of the coaching staff and the positive, welcoming atmosphere created for players of all skill levels.
By welcoming over 170 young players at no cost, SPIRE FC underscored its mission to expand access to high-quality training and build the foundation for long-term athlete development, starting with the youngest players in the community.
