SPIRE Academy is hosting a multitude of track and field events during the upcoming season. With many successful events in the past, SPIRE is excited to continue its involvement in the track and field community.

July 2023 saw SPIRE hosting the esteemed USA Track & Field National Youth Outdoor Championships which brings together many of the most talented young track and field athletes in the country each year.

“SPIRE is honored and excited to host such an array of high caliber Indoor Track and Field events on a multitude of levels. We look forward to hosting the athletes, coaches and spectators in what we think will be a unparalleled season of exciting and competitive events,” says Jeff Orloff, President of SPIRE Academy.

SPIRE’s Indoor Track boasts a 300 meter, 10 lane straight-a-way with 8 lanes around the oval indoor facility with dual venues for Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault and a Weight Throw area enclosed with safety netting.  The track and runways have been recently resurfaced and re-striped by Rekortan with their Rekortan RT Fast Texture surface.

Susan McGrath-Powell, SPIRE’s Track Events Manager is eager to see more events on campus, saying, “I am looking forward to an exciting 2023-2024 Indoor season. I expect to see many great performances from all levels of athletes: Youth, High School, College and Open athletes at the newly renovated indoor facility.”

Looking ahead, SPIRE Academy is set to light up the track with a series of thrilling events. The calendar is packed with action.

• The College Holiday Classic on Saturday, December 9th
• SPIRE Midwest Open (University/Open)
• SPIRE Collegiate Invitational #1 (University/Open) on Sunday, January 28th
• SPIRE Indoor Games (University/Open) on Saturday, February 10th
• SPIRE Collegiate Invitational #2 (University/Open) on Saturday, February 17th.
• BIG TEN Championships, February 23rd–24th

High school events include:

• SPIRE HS Holiday Classic on Friday, December 8th
• Speed Capital Youth Meet #1 on Saturday, December 16th
• NEOITC Track & Field Events, January–February
• SPIRE HS Invitational on Saturday, January 13th
• SPIRE Ohio Preview (HS) on Saturday, January 27th
• Speed Capital Youth Meet #3 on Saturday, February 3rd
• SPIRE Scholastic Showcase (HS) on Sunday, February 4th
• SPIRE Indoor Games (HS) on Sunday, February 11th
• USATF Lake Erie Indoor T&F Meet on Sunday, February 18th
• OATCCC State Championships DII & DIII on Friday, March 1st
• OATCCC State Championships DI on Saturday, March 2nd

Each event brings with it many visitors to the Geneva community, creating economic boosts to local business. SPIRE Academy looks forward to every event and is excited to welcome athletes and spectators alike to its world-class campus.
