SPIRE FC’s U19 squad was crowned State Champions after a dominant 5–0 win over Cincinnati United Premier at Warren County Sports Park on June 1st. The victory capped off a strong showing throughout the Ohio State Cup.
Six SPIRE Academy student athletes played key roles in the title run, contributing on both ends of the field:
Sam Trivisano led the scoring with two goals, while John Fue, Ryan Cvitkovic and Rafa de las Barrera each added one of their own.
“The boys went unbeaten in the finals. It was an extraordinary performance from the whole team,” said Coach Lane.
Throughout each game in the Ohio Cup, the boys showed grit, composure and a relentless drive to win. However, the journey isn’t over yet—next up, Regionals in Kansas in just a few weeks.
