This week, SPIRE Academy was featured by digital creator and basketball personality Cullen Honohan in a new YouTube video that takes viewers inside our one-of-a-kind campus.
Cullen spent the day touring SPIRE’s 800-acre property, highlighting the scale, energy, and ambition that set us apart. From our world-class basketball courts to our Olympic-grade pool, indoor turf fields, and advanced performance spaces, the video captures what makes SPIRE one of the most comprehensive sports environments in the country.
“The sheer size stood out to me the most,” Cullen shared. “The amount of land covered made the campus feel like its own city.”
Throughout his visit, Cullen focused on what it means to train and grow at SPIRE—especially with the recent arrival of Coach Kevin Boyle. “The legendary coaching staff is unbelievable,” he said. “If I’m a young player with NBA dreams, the standard the Boyles set is far and above any other program in high school hoops.”
While Cullen originally knew SPIRE from LaMelo Ball’s time here, he admitted he hadn’t followed closely in recent years. That changed when he heard about Coach Boyle’s move from Florida to Ohio. “I hadn’t heard much since, so I was shocked to hear Coach Boyle was leaving sunny Florida to head here,” Cullen said. “I wanted to find the reasoning, and we sure did.”
For SPIRE, the collaboration was a natural fit. “Bringing Cullen to SPIRE Academy feels like a full-circle moment for me,” said Adam Taylor, SPIRE’s Head of Content and Media. “I’ve followed his work for a long time, and his creative voice aligns perfectly with the energy we’re building here.”
Taylor added that this visit reflects a larger push to partner with creators who share SPIRE’s commitment to real storytelling. “During my time at the UFC, the influencer space was just beginning. Now, it’s essential. Partnering with someone as talented and authentic as Cullen is an exciting next step in how we share the SPIRE experience. We’re always looking to collaborate across all our sports and properties.”
Cullen’s feature also explored our investment in technology, coaching, and player development. “I always want my audience to understand what makes each school, campus and player unique,” he said. “For SPIRE, I wanted people to see the investment in facilities and coaching that’s setting the Academy apart.”
