Ben Shank has over 17 years of sales & marketing experience, starting his career in the professional sports industry with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Monsters hockey club.  Through the first five years of the Monsters existence, he established fan development programming and community initiatives to grow the new franchise’s brand across Northern Ohio.  He later moved into a marketing role with DICK’S Sporting Goods, connecting with the local youth sports community through special programming, events, camps & clinics.  Ben also spent time working with Pepsi to implement regional marketing campaigns to drive sales and consumer engagement.  After deepening his sales experience in the specialty chemicals industry and in broadcast media sales, Ben is now determined to bring SPIRE Camps to a new level by innovating our Camp offerings and continuing to add value to athletes through unique training opportunities.  He is passionate about sports and helping athletes reach their peak potential.  Outside of work, Ben loves spending time with his family, staying active and being committed to fitness.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Robert Morris University
• Masters of Science in Athletic Administration from Ohio University

Playing and Coaching Experience:

• Played Ice Hockey at Robert Morris University
• 5 years as Assistant Coach with Orange High School Varsity Hockey
• 2+ years as a Group Fitness Instructor
